What are Fellows at Longhorn Developers (LHD)?

Fellows are LHD members who work on specific project teams within LHD (such as UT Registration Plus, Longhorn Loop, or any of our other projects). These roles include:

• Product Fellow: Supports the Product Lead in developing product strategy, understanding user needs, and managing the product backlog while learning product management principles.
• Developer Fellow: Works on coding tasks and develop/implement features under the guidance of the Technical Lead, focusing on learning the project tech stack and collaborative development processes.
• UX Design Fellow: Assists with foundational design tasks, advances skills in Figma, and collaborates with the UX Design Lead to create wireframes and support user research.

Fellows receive mentorship from project leads, participate in collaborative team environments, and gain hands-on experience while building skills in their respective areas.
